Privacy Policy
Your privacy is fundamental to how we built Whisperly. This policy explains how we handle your data with a privacy-first approach designed for developers who value security.
Privacy-First by Design
We built Whisperly with privacy as a core principle, not an afterthought. Here's what makes us different.
Local Processing
Your PCAP files never leave your browser. All analysis happens locally on your machine, ensuring your network data stays completely private.
No Account Required
Use Whisperly Emergency Kit without creating an account, providing personal information, or agreeing to data collection.
Minimal Analytics
We only collect anonymous usage statistics to improve the product. No personal data, no tracking, no behavioral profiling.

How We Process Your Data
Local-First Architecture
Whisperly is designed with a "local-first" architecture that prioritizes your privacy:
PCAP files are loaded directly into your browser's memory, never transmitted to our servers.
All packet analysis happens in your browser using WebAssembly and JavaScript.
Only anonymized pattern signatures are sent to our AI service, never raw packet data.
Analysis results are displayed in your browser and can be saved locally if desired.
Data Sharing and Third Parties
Third-Party Services We Use
We send anonymized network pattern signatures (not raw packet data) to OpenAI for AI-powered analysis. No personal or network-identifying information is included.
We use privacy-focused analytics (not Google Analytics) to understand usage patterns. No personal data or tracking cookies are used.
Our website is served through a content delivery network for performance. Standard web server logs may contain IP addresses and user agents.
We Do Not Share Data With
- • Advertising networks
- • Data brokers
